We learned about them in a lecture, but I did not understand anything... This video was very helpful in clarifying and simplifying the topic. Thank you very much🙏🙏❤️❤️I follow you from Syria.
I appreciate your Informative lecture! Side note: I would recommend editing "7:40", as acetaminophen is not an NSAID (Non-Steriodal Anti-Inflammtory Drug).
I use caffeine to my advantage, as I have class early morning, then I take a nap mid day. Thanks to the caffeine crash 🤷🏻♂️.
Great video, thanks
this lecture is what i want.. perfect

Thank you for the information. Medicare Medicare covers a pharmacological gene test FOR FREE. My life was hell dealing with doctors and medicines being over medicated and dealing with terrible side effects for decades because I had unrecognized pharmacological gene deletion and other malabsorption issues. I even had to see one time in my chart that a doctor noted I was being psychosomatic because I repeatedly tried to bring to their attention medicines were not working or having terrible effects. Try advocating for yourself after surgery when a pain medicine doesn't work and see how you will be treated unless you can show them how you metabolize medication's. It's not awesome. I got my test done through GeneSight. I am in no way affiliated. I just am so thankful for the information now and being able to work with my doctors.
This is the best ed video that i watched in my life ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amazing explanation. You made this easy and clear. Thank you ❤❤
Omygod thankyou soo muchh😭🖐🏻

Excellent content. love it!
Just because you’re prescribed something doesn’t mean you have to take it. Also, whose fault is it if you take more than the prescribed amount?
Amazing channel pls don’t stop your narrative is so soo unique and grabs attention. I really watch so many medical, science-related channels but yours are currently the best i have watched. Your graphics. Your details and information are things you don’t see in other channels
As an experienced health professional, I'm impressed to see how a graduate student explains in a simple and educational yet scientific way such difficult pharmacological concepts. I encourage you to continue like that, and I am pleased to follow your videos!

Execellent
Is a stroke the same as an aneurysm? My daughter had one, when they operated she had another brain bleed, had it not been for that second bleed she would have survived. She could talk very slowly, she recognized us all, she smiled and joked with the doctor. After about 20 days after the operation is when the second bleed occurred this was the last time I could talk to her, she went into a vegetative state for many months where she was on and off a venting machine.
So sorry to hear about your daughter, my condolences. An aneurysm and a stroke are related but different concepts. An aneurysm can cause a hemorrhagic (bleeding) stroke if it ruptures, but strokes can be caused by other things like blockages of blood vessels.
@@Medicurio Thank you!
So accurate. Thank you
What happened to Ketoprofen for pain relief? I used it for mild to severe pain and it worked and was not a drug that was an addictive drug. Great content and the history is of the problem is fascinating.
Ketoprofen is an nonsteroid anti-inflammatory (NSAID) that is in the same family as other NSAIDs like aspirin and ibuprofen (Advil). From what I understand it is still available and used. It definitely is less potent than opioids for pain relief though and is usually only used for, as you suggested, mild/moderate pain and maybe severe pain for some.
It’s a great gift to make the complex understandable thank you for this information.
Great video and highly understandable for the common person to learn thank you.

This is a beautiful and very informative video. Thank you! 😊 I have a family history of high blood pressure and cholesterol. I eat healthy my overall cholesterol is normal but the LDL was very high. I was placed on Atorvastatin now the LDL is low and my blood pressure is normal every day.
Went down a rabbit hole tonight. Thank you for explaining why naloxone doesn't have the same effect as an opioid like fentanyl even though it binds to the same receptors. Most explanations I found skipped over that. All they said was naloxone binds to the receptors in place of fentanyl and I was thinking "Wait, but how is that different than what fentanyl does?" Now I know binding to a receptor ≠ activating a receptor! Drug addiction and withdrawal are certainly a lot to overcome, to say that least. I feel for anyone dealing with it, and I am cheering for them, whether they are actively trying to be/are sober or not, to have true happiness and health
Life liberty & the pursuit of happiness means the right for adults to enjoy any molecules of their choice in the world without fear of being investigated! arrested! kidnapped! or thrown into a cage by tyrants with badges & guns! Humans have used Opiates for thousands of years without “addiction” issues until Harry Anslinger of the Federal Bureau of Dangerous Drugs got involved! The FBODD would become the DEA they applied the Nazi’s anti-drug ideologies here in the USA in the 1940’s. So the Number of Opiate Addictions exploded immediately after that happened…wonder why….
